Meet the Chef
Executive Chef Sean Williams
Executive Chef Sean Williams grew up in Central Ohio where he helped raise pigs and chickens. He fell in love with food at a very young age and knew that he wanted to be a chef one day. He attributes his love for food to his mother and great grandfather who shared their passion for food with him. Chef Sean started as a dishwasher in the industry. He worked 70+ hours per week so he could absorb as much knowledge as possible from the older cooks. When he graduated high school, he went to The Ohio State University for a year and then transferred to Ohio University where he majored in Business Management. At the age of twenty he became a Kitchen Manager for Chipotle. From there he worked for Darden for 3+ years as a Certified Culinary Professional and traveled to open new restaurants. At the age of 25 he became Sous Chef of The Quarter Bistro in Mariemont where he helped win Cincinnati’s finest three out of the four years he worked there. Chef Sean then moved to Charleston, South Carolina where he was the Sous Chef for Halls Chophouse. He is excited to bring his passion for food, creativity, and team development to Kitchen 1883 in Union, Kentucky.
